Pál Bogár received his M.Sc. degree in Physics from the Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest in 1988. He started his scientific researcher career at the Central Research Institute for Physics of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, at the Laser Physics Department, where he built and used high-intensity lasers for non-linear optical research. In 1990, Dr. Bogár moved to Hunter College of the City of New York where at the Department of Physics and Astronomy he conducted scientific research in the field of theoretical quantum optics and also worked as a college professor. In 1995 he got his Ph.D. degree in Physics from The City University of New York. In this period of time Dr. Bogár authored more than 20 scientific papers and lectured at more than 10 scientific conferences. He was a member of the American Physical Society and regularly refereed articles in professional physics journals. Following the receipt of his Ph.D. Dr. Bogár worked in similar areas as a research fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Quantum Optics in Munich Germany until 1996. At which time he switched out of his Physics career to his finance career and worked for various banks in the City of London and on Wall Street of New York for 13 years. He worked in equity research and sales at Credit Suisse bank, in valuation and market and credit risk calculations and simulations of complex derivative transactions at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), in currency options structuring and trading at Morgan Stanley, and finally was the head of the global credit exposure risk measurement team at Rabobank for six years. Dr. Bogár has been living in Budapest since 2009 where as an entrepreneur he founded and has been leading ever since his startup company called sincroll drive technologies developing and commercialising their innovative, proprietary, mechanical gearbox technology.
